Just Keep Swimming
Having three littles has taught me patience. Maybe more than patience it has taught me to how to tune out the bad and focus on the positive. Most of the drama, the tantrums, and the loud cries for attention are background noise to me. They don't faze me in the least. I remember being at the OBGYN for a check up when I was pregnant with Roo and the Felon was throwing a fit on the floor while the doctor was taking my blood pressure. He looked at me and said that my blood pressure was perfect and that he knew I was ready for the new baby because I was handling the stress well. It might go back to being a tennis player and having 20 seconds in between points to compose myself and bring my heart rate back down before the next point. That is my secret if anyone was wondering how you manage with three little people all day long by yourself. You let the little things go and know that it will pass. It's not embarrassing. They are learning to express themselves and it can be almost comical a lot of the time. Believe me, if they take it to a disrespectful level or are at risk of hurting themselves or others, I'm on it. But it isn't that intense or serious the majority of the time. Everything is never going to be picture perfect every minute of the day, but when it is, I capture it and treasure it.
