Spring 2016

Spring sports are in the air. There is also a little bit of freezing rain and grey skies. But if you look to the sports in the Hamptons, it is definitely Spring.  It is an exciting time for the Felon because he has two sports just starting, baseball and lacrosse. His first word at 6 months was ball. Not Mama or Dada, but ball. Trains, trucks, and tractors didn't thrill him in the least. But a ball would light up his life. As soon as he was able to walk, he wanted to be outside hitting wiffle balls from the tee. His current favorite sport is basketball and he plays it every night after dinner with the Alaskan Assassin, no matter the weather. This week was busy at work and I had to fill in. To say the boy has no idea what a foul is would be putting it lightly. The most amusing part of watching the Felon play sports is his enthusiasm for the game. Every time he hits the ball passed the bases, he jumps around like a maniac before running the bases and then replays the events a thousand times at the dinner table. For instance, his coach told him that he had a "wicked" swing and he has let anyone who asks him how tball is going that.  His Uncle Don (named that from when the Felon couldn't say John at one year old) drove him to practice the other day and told the Felon that if he kept practicing he could be as good as his MLB playing brother one day.  In true Felon style, he simply replied, " I already am."

He has two cheerleaders who LOVE watching and running the fields with him.
