Sunday Best
This has been a super fun week off of school and I'm so thankful for it. The break from the cold weather and friends with colds was much needed. We escaped New York on the coldest weekend of the year and soaked up the sun with some quality family time. We came back relaxed and then met two of the Alaskan Assassin's sisters for a beautiful day in the city. I've been struggling to make it to church each Sunday because of Shay Bae Bae's nap. The older littles have been making it to the LDS church with the Alaskan Assassin, but I've really missed the homily's at the Catholic Church. Today Shay took a quick morning nap and we were able to make the last 45 minutes. A quick takeaway for anyone else who has been struggling to get there is for us all to find an hour a week, during these last 5 weeks of lent, to sit alone in silence and pray and meditate and think about life. That time you usually use to unwind scrolling through Facebook, reading articles on Yahoo Sports, playing solitaire, etc can change to an hour of silence and reflection. Tomorrow we are back on schedule and we are rested and rejuvenated and ready to get at it.
