Sunday Best: Mother's Day Edition
This Mother's Day began with the Hamptons 1,567th straight day without the sun. I couldn't remember what the sky looked liked when it was blue, or how the sun would sparkle over the bay outside my window. It had just been too many days of crappy weather. So I snuggled into bed all morning with my littles eating Dunkin Donuts and watching cartoons. Before noon, we arrived on the North Shore of the island to celebrate with my family. I saw the sun begin to peek through the clouds and decided this was my chance to get some vitamin d. Before my running shoes were laced up, the sky turned blue and I could already feel the warmth on my skin. I did my favorite loop and took in the salty air, the fishing boats, the flowering trees and lilacs. Man what a difference the sun makes. I returned to play with my littles in the pool, the fish pond, and the putting green at my parents. We then feasted at my parents club and made it home before bedtime. I'm so thankful to be a mom. I just adore my littles and am so blessed that my husband works hard so that I get to stay home with them all day. I wish all of you mamas a Happy Mother's Day!
