Movie Under the Stars

I hosted my first Hamptons event this weekend and planned it around my family. We decided on a movie under the stars with beach blankets and chairs and big outdoor pillows. For flower arrangements I took our littles to the farm stand and had them each grab a bundle of sunflowers. We then stopped at the dollar store and grabbed huge plastic popcorn bowls, popcorn bags, gold star balloons, poster board and battery powered tea lights. We arranged the flowers into their popcorn vases, filled the popcorn bags with sand and a light and made a welcome to movie night and rootbeer float bar signs.  The menu included fried chicken, Potatoe salad, macaroni salad, three bean salad, chips and corn bread. Rootbeer floats and crackerjacks were served on the lawn and as the sun set the movie started. The movie chosen was The Sandlot. It's a classic loved by both adults and children and everyone snuggled in and enjoyed the night.
