Autumn in the Hamptons might be better than summer in the Hamptons. The trees are dazzling with brilliant shades of yellow, red and orange and the parks are empty of citidiots (idiots from the city). The leaves seem to be falling at a rapid pace though, so get out and enjoy it. Wear some fringe booties, grab a plaid flannel tunic and take a stroll through town. This morning I dropped the littles at school and met one of my bests for breakfast at The Hampton Maid. Most Mamas make sure that they meet up for playdates for their littles, but forget to make that time for themselves. Fit it in! It's good for the soul to break bread and catch up with your girls. Even if you have you no break from your littles, make the time. Load them in the car and bring them to your bests house. Bring her some coffee and enjoy her company.
If you are able to get away, make it to The Hampton Maid in Hampton Bays before it closes for the season on Sunday. Be sure to check their shop too. Ladies and littles beach tunics are 50% off and they have beautiful christmas ornaments 10% off. That store is on my list of the best places to buy hostess gifts and teacher presents. Enjoy the season!
Love, Love, Love Hampton Maid breakfast dates! We were just there on Monday! Everything about that place is so nostalgic, a little slice of heaven!!
