Mystic Day Tripping

Day tripping is my favorite pass time. The East Coast is filled with history and beauty that I still have not explored, but intend to.  An hour and fifteen minutes across the Long Island Sound is New London, CT.  Fifteen minutes from that is a small town featured in one of my favorite 80's movies, Mystic ( Mystic Pizza). It has a charming downtown with views of the water, a seaport museum where you can explore ships and an old time village with quaint toy shops and a fabulous duck pond. Old Mystic Village also has carolers and a band playing in the village during the Christmas season and my littles love to sing and dance along. I like to combine this trip with a visit to the Mystic Aquarium, a stay at Mohegan Sun, a drive to Newport, Rhode Island or a ride on the Essex Steam Train.

  1. This place is stunning. The architecture is beautiful and the decoration is spectacular. Environment was transparent and resonant and warm and immediate. I loved these party venues and my experience here was very exciting.
