Hamptons Maternity Pictures by Sunset

When you are pregnant with your first baby your husband is at every doctor visit. Your family checks in to see how you are doing. Your long distance friends ask for bump pictures. When you are pregnant with your third baby your husband goes hunting when you are 40 weeks pregnant. No one knows or cares when your doctor appointments are. No one wants to know what your cravings are. No one except your fellow mama besties. They know that the third time is even harder than the first and second time you were pregnant. They show up to play with your littles and watch them while you are at your doctor appointments. They double check that you asked all of the right questions and if you didn't, they volunteer to call for you and get the answers. They walk your littles into school so you don't need to leave the car and they invite you for dinner any day, anytime. The third time around you get larger faster and need some reassuring that you'll be your old self again soon. Your best girls throw you gender reveals, baby sprinkles and sip and sees. Pregnancy can be really hard and scary. What would we do without our bests?

One of my bests is 40 weeks and 1 day pregnant with no sign of a delivery date. So to pass the time, we took a couple of silhouette pictures to help her remember this last pregnancy. If you have a best pregnant now, volunteer to do this for her. Set her up in front of a sun filled window and turn off the lights in the house behind you. Have her wear black fitted clothes and a ponytail or bun. Then capture that moment for her to look back on and cherish later. A sunset works wonders as well.

At 6:15 this morning I had two tiny cold feet jump into my bed. She urged me to open my eyes and look out the window. Begrudgingly I did and I'm so happy Roo woke me to share this with her.

Life is good.
