Gingerbread Houses with the Library

Libraries have always been a happy place for me, but when I became a mother they became a  safe haven. I went back to work when the Felon was 6 weeks old, ( I took him with me) which meant that I wasn't out and about my town meeting new moms. I was combating the sleepless nights and no naps with staying busy. Then one day I found that the library had free programs for babies and went even though I wasn't sure my 3 month old would get anything out of it. That day I realized that those early baby groups are just as much for the moms as the babies. I met ladies who were just as tired and frazzled as I was and I got the reassurance, that this was all normal, that I needed. I now make sure to make it to the libraries all over the Hamptons with my littles to enjoy all the fun programs and stay in touch with my mama friends. This last week we went to a library program at the Beach Bakery with one of my girlfriends. It was nice to catch up with her and watch her boys be just as crazy as mine. If you are a new mom, get to the library.
