Another 60 degree December day was well spent. I was lucky enough to start my day at Soul Cycle, spinning with a friend and doing something that makes me feel like me. It is so easy to get lost in being someone's mom and someone's wife and forgetting what it feels like to do you. I'm an athlete. I feel best when I'm pushing my mind and body to high levels of fitness. I like to work so hard that I might throw up and my head is drenched and my face stays red for hours after. I like to mentally lose myself in physical activity. Any day when I can get that in, for even 30 mins, is a good day. I feel like I can do anything happily once I've done something active for myself.
After exercising and church we were lucky to watch our dear friend, Lexi, in her first Nutcracker at the WHBPAC. Shay Bay Bay loved practicing her claps, Kellan the Felon enjoyed the sword fights and Riley Roo just adored it all. Lexi's mom, Colette Lettieri, was so impressed with the whole experience: "The theatre has provided my young daughter to really explore her own talents. She was a part of a group of amazing dancers and actors who encouraged her to find her own talents and not be afraid to take center stage. It has been thrilling to be apart of this theatre for the past three years and I look forward to so much more." Roo is counting down the days until she is old enough to dance with the sugar plum fairies. The Felon was unsure of ballet etiquette and wanted to throw his flowers at Lexi one by one while whistling loudly and yelling her name. Luckily, I was able to reign him in and he nicely handed her the flowers at the end.
The best way to end a fun filled day is at Boom Burger with cheese fries and milk shakes. So much for that morning workout...
